The Axis AX-GPC-1 Gas Pasta Cooker
The Axis AX-GPC-1 is a single-tank gas pasta cooker with 10.5 gallons of water capacity and 45,000 BTU of heating power. It is designed for restaurants that serve pasta as a regular menu item and need a dedicated cooking station that keeps water at a rolling boil throughout service. Six stainless steel mesh baskets with ergonomic handles let you cook six portions simultaneously, each in its own basket for individual timing and easy retrieval.
Deep-Drawn Inner Tank with Starch Skimming Drain
The deep-drawn inner tank holds water efficiently and heats evenly across the cooking area. The starch skimming drain is a feature that matters for pasta quality. As you cook batch after batch, starch builds up in the water and makes your pasta gummy. The skimming drain lets you skim off starchy surface water without draining and refilling the entire tank, so your pasta stays clean-tasting through a full dinner service.
Piezo-Electric Ignition with Thermocouple Safety Shutoff
The piezo-electric ignition lights the burners without a standing pilot, and the safety thermocouple monitors the flame. If the flame goes out for any reason, the thermocouple cuts the gas supply automatically, preventing gas accumulation. Individual controls for gas, water supply, and the 1" port drain give you full command over fill levels, temperature, and draining without reaching behind the unit.
The front drain tray catches any splashes during basket retrieval, keeping your cook line clean. Stainless steel construction throughout resists corrosion from constant water and steam exposure. Overall dimensions are 15.75"W x 37.5"D x 37.5"H.
