The Breezaire WKSL 4000 split-system wine cooling unit is engineered for cellars up to 1000 cubic feet. By separating the evaporator and condenser modules, this system allows installation up to 50 feet apart, making it suitable for cellars where a self-contained unit cannot be used or where venting through the wall is not possible. The condenser can be placed in a utility area or outdoors, reducing heat and noise in the cellar. Each unit is hand-assembled in the USA and features the Sentry III+ digital control platform for consistent operation across the Breezaire range.

48°F to 63°F Adjustable Set Point with Humidity Control

The WKSL 4000 maintains cellar temperatures from 48°F to 63°F, covering the requirements for red, white, or mixed wine storage. The Sentry III+ controller is preset to 55°F but can be adjusted as needed. The system manages relative humidity between 50% and 75%, which prevents corks from drying out and labels from peeling, while also reducing the risk of mold growth on racks and cases. This controlled environment protects both wine quality and bottle appearance. The unit delivers a steady, gentle airflow to avoid sudden temperature swings. It is designed specifically for long-term wine storage, not for rapid chilling or frequent-access service cabinets.

Sentry III+ Electronic Control System

The fan/coil unit integrates the Breezaire Sentry III+ digital controller, which provides continuous temperature readout on a large green LED display. Set points are adjusted directly on the unit using the SET, COOLER, and WARMER buttons, with no tools required. All user settings are stored in permanent memory, so preferences remain intact after power loss. The automatic compressor restart delay prevents short-cycling, extending compressor life after power interruptions or thermostat changes. A high-temperature alarm alerts you if the cellar exceeds the set threshold, and automatic overheat protection will shut down the unit if temperatures approach 75°F, safeguarding your inventory. The system uses an intake air sensor for temperature regulation and can be upgraded with an optional bottle probe for direct liquid temperature monitoring. Sensor errors are displayed as "Er," and manual override keeps the unit operational until service can be performed.

Vibration Control and Quiet Cellar-Side Operation

The WKSL 4000 uses vibration-dampening mounts throughout the cooling system to minimize movement that can disturb wine sediment and affect long-term quality. Each unit is hand-assembled and tested to ensure low vibration levels. With only the fan/coil unit inside the cellar, operational noise is significantly reduced compared to self-contained systems.
