The Omcan FW-CN-0024 is a 24-inch wall-mounted natural gas infrared cheese melter that puts out 20,000 BTU of radiant heat from above. This is built for restaurants, pizzerias, and commercial kitchens that need to melt cheese on nachos, brown the top of French onion soup, finish casseroles, or toast open-faced sandwiches quickly and consistently. Unlike a broiler that uses convective heat and can dry out food, an infrared burner delivers intense, even radiant energy directly to the surface of the dish, so cheese melts and browns without overcooking the food underneath.
Pre-Mix Atmospheric Infrared Burner with Standing Pilot
The pre-mix atmospheric infrared burner distributes heat evenly across the full cooking width, eliminating hot spots that can char one side of a dish while leaving the other barely melted. A standing pilot ignition system means the burner lights instantly every time without the delay of an electronic igniter or the unreliability of a piezo spark in a greasy kitchen environment. You turn the knob and the burner is on. A chrome-plated wiring grid rack with three adjustable positions lets you control how close the food sits to the burner, which is how you manage the intensity. Closer means faster melting with more browning; further away gives you a gentler finish for delicate items.
Stainless Steel Construction with Removable Oil Collector
The front and sides are stainless steel, standing up to the grease splatter and high heat that cheese melters deal with every service. A removable oil collector catches drippings so they do not run down the wall or into the burner assembly, and it pulls out for quick cleaning between shifts. A conversion kit is included in the box, so you can switch from natural gas to propane if your kitchen runs LP. At 24 inches wide, 19 inches deep, and 23 inches tall, it fits above a standard prep line. Net weight is 101 pounds.
