The Omcan CE-CN-2419 is a 26-inch countertop electric charbroiler with a 24-by-19-inch cooking surface split into two independently controlled zones. Each zone runs its own 3.6 kW serpentine burner element for a combined 7.2 kW of cooking power, and each has its own thermostat so you can run one side hotter for searing steaks while keeping the other at a lower temperature for vegetables or chicken. The unit ships with heavy-duty cast iron grill plates and matching griddle plates that swap out without tools, giving you both charbroiler and griddle capability from a single piece of equipment.
Heavy-Duty 1-Inch Cast Iron Plates with Dual Zone Control
The cast iron cooking plates are 1.2 inches thick on the charbroil side and 1 inch on the griddle side, substantially thicker than what you find on lighter-duty units. Thick cast iron stores more heat and releases it more evenly, so when you drop a cold burger patty on the surface, the temperature recovers faster and you get consistent sear marks across the entire piece of meat rather than pale spots where the iron lost too much heat. The interchangeable design means you can run grill on both sides, griddle on both, or one of each depending on the menu that day. Top and bottom double welding technology on the burner housing improves heat transfer efficiency and extends the life of the element assembly. The removable top frame lifts off for thorough cleaning of the cooking surface and drip channels.
