The Omcan CE-CN-CB48-M is a countertop radiant gas charbroiler, the largest in this series at 48 inches wide with four burners and 140,000 BTU total. Four independent zones give you a full four feet of grilling real estate, enough to handle peak dinner service at a steakhouse or high-volume casual dining restaurant without backing up tickets. The 23.86-inch deep cooking area provides generous front-to-back space for positioning items at different distances from the heat source. A propane conversion kit is included.
U-Shaped Burners with 10-Gauge Stainless Steel Radiants
Each 12-inch section is served by a U-shaped burner that distributes heat evenly across its zone rather than concentrating it in a narrow strip. The 10-gauge stainless steel radiants above the burners absorb flame heat and re-radiate it upward as infrared energy, which penetrates food surfaces for better searing and char. Standing pilot ignition means each burner lights instantly when you turn the dial, with no electronic ignition modules to fail during a busy service. The pre-heat time is just 5 minutes from a cold start to full grilling temperature.
Stainless Steel Front with Back and Side Splash Guards
The front panel and cabinet are stainless steel, and back and side splash guards contain grease splatter where it belongs rather than spraying adjacent equipment. A removable full-width crumb tray slides out from the front for quick cleanup between service periods. Adjustable stainless steel non-skid feet keep the charbroiler stable on any countertop surface, and a 3/4-inch rear gas connection provides a standard hookup point. At 48" x 27.6" x 15.2" overall, the unit fits into modular countertop equipment lines alongside griddles and hot plates. Lava rock kits are available as an accessory for the 24-inch, 36-inch, and 48-inch models to add lava rock grilling capability.
