The Omcan 10052 Grinder Attachment Part
The Omcan 10052 is a replacement cast iron cylinder for the #12 grinder head attachment used with Omcan mixers that have a #12 drive hub. This is the cylinder component only, which is the barrel through which meat is forced by the worm toward the plate and knife. Over time, the interior bore of a grinder cylinder wears from the friction of the worm and the abrasion of bones, sinew, and gristle passing through. When the gap between the worm and cylinder wall increases, grinding efficiency drops and you start getting smeared meat instead of clean cuts. Replacing the cylinder restores that tight tolerance and brings your grind quality back to factory spec.
This cylinder is part of the Omcan #12 grinder head system. The complete unit (Omcan 10051) includes the cylinder, ring, worm, feed pan, plate, knife, and meat stomper. If you only need the cylinder, this is the part to order. It is also available as part of the cylinder/ring/worm package (Omcan 10054). The cylinder weighs 6 pounds and is built to the same cast iron spec as the original equipment component.
