The Omcan 23542 Meat Grinder
The Omcan 23542 is a #22 cast iron manual meat grinder, a mid-size unit that handles larger batches than the #10 and #12 models. The bigger throat opening and auger accept larger cuts of meat with less pre-trimming, so you spend less time cutting meat into small pieces before feeding it into the grinder. This size is practical for small butcher shops, game processing, sausage making, and any operation that grinds meat in moderate volume without the noise and maintenance of an electric grinder.
Cast Iron Construction with 3/16" Machine Plate
The entire body, auger, and housing are cast iron, which provides the weight and rigidity needed to grind meat smoothly without the body flexing or shifting on the table. Cast iron also retains cold temperature better than aluminum or plastic housings, which helps keep ground meat at a safe temperature during processing. Each grinder comes with a 3/16" machine plate, which produces a medium grind suitable for most sausage recipes, burger patties, and general ground meat applications. Additional plates in finer or coarser sizes can be purchased separately to match specific recipes. The plated finish resists surface corrosion and cleans up easily with warm soapy water after each use.
