The Omcan 49162 is a Potis convertible natural gas doner kebab machine with a 264.5 lb cooking capacity and 5 burners producing 47,500 BTU per hour, designed for restaurants, kebab shops, and Mediterranean food service operations that serve authentic doner kebab, gyro, and shawarma. The stainless steel construction handles the grease, heat, and daily cleaning that come with vertical rotisserie cooking, and the continuous pilot on each burner provides immediate ignition without the delay of electronic starters.
Adjustable Spit-to-Burner Distance
The distance between the cooking spit and the burners is adjustable, which lets you control the heat intensity hitting the meat surface. When you start with a full 264.5 lb load, you can position the spit closer for strong initial searing. As the meat cooks down and the outer layers are shaved off, you can pull the spit back to reduce smokiness and maintain a consistent cook on the diminishing core. This adjustability is what separates a good kebab from one that chars on the outside while staying cold in the center.
Convertible Motor Head and Front Heat Shield
The motor head is convertible to the rear of the unit (conversion kit sold separately), which gives you flexibility in how you position the machine in your kitchen layout. At this size, the machine handles large-volume operations where you are shaving kebab continuously through lunch and dinner service. The maximum meat height of 32" and burner surface area of 32" x 7.3" provide even heat coverage across the full length of a properly loaded spit. A 1/2" pipe gas connection hooks up to your existing natural gas line (regulator sold separately).
At 95 lb and 20" x 24.8" x 52", the machine fits on a countertop or dedicated kebab station. Floor space without the grease tray is 26" x 23.6", expanding to 26.4" x 29.5" with the tray in place. Made in Germany with Potis engineering and backed by a one-year parts and labor warranty.
