The Sealer Sales CBS-880II-100mm is a stainless steel continuous band sealer, the CBS-880II with the extended vertical height kit installed. The standard CBS-880 is one of the best-selling band sealers in its price class because it handles 20-30 6" wide poly bags per minute, accepts almost any thermoplastic film (PE, PP, laminated foils), and has been in production long enough that the spare parts pipeline is mature.

Extended Vertical Bag Height (11" to 16.5")

The standard CBS-880II vertical mode handles bags from 6.0" to 12.0" tall when filled. The CBS-880II-100mm factory-adds 100 mm (roughly 4") of extra height to the conveyor uprights, taking the vertical bag-height range to 11" to 16.5". This matters when you're sealing taller filled bags (powder fills, larger granular product, anything that exceeds the standard 12" filled height). The unit is otherwise identical to the standard CBS-880II. 10 mm seal width, embossing wheel, all standard hardware.

Why a 10 mm Seal Width Matters

A 10 mm seal is wide enough to give a hermetic, peel-resistant bond on most poly films without wasting bag material. The CBS-880II-100mm keeps the seal bars at their target temperature with a solid-state temperature controller, so the first bag of the run looks identical to the last bag. Temperature drift is what causes intermittent leakers, and a solid-state controller is what stops it.

Built for Daily Production

Frame is stainless steel for washdown environments. The conveyor is motorized rubber with variable speed control. Knurled pressure wheels adjust to compensate for film thickness so a 4 mil bag closes with the same dwell as a 2 mil bag. One pair each of cooling and heating blocks means the bag is fully cooled before it exits the conveyor, so you don't pull a hot, still-relaxing seal that distorts on the way out. An emergency stop is wired into the front panel.

Spare Parts and Field Service

The CBS-880 has been in production long enough that the spare parts kit is well stocked: PTFE sealing belt, drive belt, PC board, tools, and the standard typeset (numbers 0-9 plus letters EXD). Most operators keep one belt and one drive belt in a drawer next to the sealer. Mean time between belt changes depends on bag thickness and dwell, but field reports of multiple months on a single belt are common.

Ships Horizontal, Converts to Vertical with the Included Kit

The CBS-880II-100mm ships in horizontal configuration but includes the conversion kit to switch to vertical. In vertical mode the conveyor stands the bag upright and is sized for filled-bag heights of 11" - 16.5". Vertical mode is what you want for sealing bags of powder, granular product, or anything else that won't stay flat on a horizontal conveyor.

Embossing on the Seal Line

The CBS-880II-100mm includes an embossing wheel that stamps your text directly onto the seal line without ink. Standard character size is 3 x 4 x 9 mm and the optional embossing layout is one line in three sections, fifteen characters per section. The wheel can be swapped for a smooth seal if you prefer no marking, or a serrated seal for grip. None of this requires ribbons, ink, or wet supplies. Embossing is purely mechanical.

Configurable for Your Line

For facilities that need more than the standard configuration, the CBS-880II-100mm can be ordered with alternate seal widths of 15 mm or 30 mm, a smooth or serrated seal wheel in place of the embossing wheel, an integrated digital counter to track sealed bag count, a stainless steel floor stand (horizontal units only), a wider 12" conveyor table for larger packages (max load 2.2 lbs), 220V operation for use outside the United States.
