Sealer Sales ST-1606-20-110V Light-Duty Shrink Tunnel, 16" x 6" x 20", 110V

The Sealer Sales ST-1606-20-110V is a general-purpose entry-level shrink tunnel with a 20" long x 16" wide x 6" high chamber, fully re-circulating four-direction air flow, and a live roller rod conveyor. It heats up to 400 °F with solid-state digital temperature control and runs at 0 to 35 feet per minute on AC variable speed. This is the 110V configuration.

Four-Direction Recirculating Air Flow

Hot air recirculates through the chamber from all four sides, which gives even shrink results across the full surface of the package. Tunnels with single-direction or two-direction air flow leave shrink marks on the underside or one side of bottles and bagged products; the four-direction design is the difference between professional and amateurish-looking shrink wraps. This feature is normally only found on much more expensive tunnels.

Live Roller Rod Conveyor

A live roller rod conveyor carries packages through the chamber rather than dragging them on a static surface. The high-density rollers are spaced at 1/2 inch gap centers, which gives close support so small or unstable packages (cosmetic boxes, supplement bottles, electronics components) do not tip or fall between rollers. The conveyor surface itself is chrome-rod, which resists rust and does not transfer marks to the film.

Solid-State Digital Temperature Control with Automatic Cool-Down

The solid-state digital controller holds the chamber at the target setpoint regardless of load. When the operator powers down at end of shift, the automatic cool-down cycle runs the blower until the heating elements drop below their thermal limit before shut-off. That extends heater life and prevents the warp-and-crack failure mode that takes most tunnel heaters out of service.

AC Variable Speed Drive: 0 to 35 FPM

An AC variable speed drive lets the operator dial in the dwell time from 0 to 35 feet per minute for the film gauge and package profile being run. Thicker film and larger packages need more dwell; thinner film and small packages need less. With a knob-and-dial setup, dialing in a new product takes seconds rather than requiring a code change.

Locking Casters and Discharge Slide

The tunnel ships on locking casters so the operator can move it between workstations and lock it in place during a run. A discharge slide at the tunnel exit carries finished packages off the conveyor and clear of the chamber so the operator does not have to manually offload at the exit end.

Configurable for Your Line

The ST-1606-20 can be ordered with an optional 8 inch high tunnel opening (for taller packages) and a PTFE mesh belt kit (in place of the live roller rod conveyor) for products that do better on a flat belt. These options are factory-fitted when you place the order.
