The Sealer Sales THS-200 Direct Heat Sealer
The Sealer Sales THS-200 is a direct-heat foot-operated sealer with a 8 inch seal length, 15mm wide meshed seal, and a digital temperature controller. The direct-heat design seals materials impulse sealers cannot: aluminum foil, kraft paper, cellophane, mylar, and coated polypropylene at thicknesses up to 20 mil. Polyethylene is the exception (cannot be sealed with direct heat).
Direct-Heat (Constant-Heat) Sealing
Direct-heat sealing differs from impulse sealing: both jaws stay at constant operating temperature rather than heating per cycle. This is what makes the THS-Series able to seal heavier materials like aluminum foil and kraft paper. Both jaws are heated simultaneously, which gives better heat penetration to the seam center and produces a stronger bond on thicker substrates than single-side heating could.
15mm Meshed Seal Width
The 15mm seal width is wide enough for a strong, peel-resistant bond on foil-laminate and laminated paper materials. The meshed pattern increases bond strength on materials prone to channel leaks. The meshed pattern is the standard configuration in the THS line for most thermoplastic sealing work.
Digital Temperature Controller, 30 to 550°F
The digital temperature controller covers 30 to 550°F (0 to 300°C). Foil and laminated materials seal in the upper end of the range; lighter films at the lower end. The digital controller holds setpoint accurately so the operator does not have to chase temperature drift through a long production run.
Adjustable Work Table
An adjustable work table supports the package as the operator positions it for the seal. Adjust the table to the appropriate height for the bag size being sealed; the operator's hands stay above table height and clear of the jaws.
Foot-Operated for Hands-Free Loading
A foot pedal triggers the seal cycle so both of the operator's hands stay on the bag. This is essential for production work where the operator is sealing a continuous stream of pre-filled bags; hand-trigger sealers force the operator to set the bag down before triggering, which doubles the cycle time.
Sit-Down or Stand-Up Operation
The unit accommodates either sit-down or stand-up operator positioning, configurable at the workstation. Sit-down works for long sessions of repetitive sealing; stand-up works for shorter bursts integrated with other workstation tasks.
