The Alexander Industries EL-40 Bun pan rack

The Alexander Industries EL-40 is a solid sides aluminum bun pan rack that holds 40 full-size 18 x 26 in. bun pans on 1-1/2 in. centers. Alexander calls it the Stor-more, and it is the taller of the two sizes for bakeries, commissaries and central kitchens that want the most pans per square foot of floor with the sides closed so nothing slips off the slide in transit. It stands 75 in. tall, so check your door and walk-in clearances. The rack rolls on four swivel casters and arrives knocked down for assembly, with factory assembly available as an option.

Solid Side Panels With 1-1/2 In. Slide Spacing

Each side is a solid panel extruded from .078 in. wall 6063-T6 aluminum with the pan slides formed into it on 1-1/2 in. centers, so there are no separate runners to work loose. The closed sides keep product from being bumped and give you 40 pans of flat, uncovered product such as cookies, sheeted dough or portioned items in one footprint that is only 21-1/4 in. wide.

6061-T6 Aluminum Frame, Riveted and Welded

Uprights and cross members are 1 in. square 6061-T6 aluminum extrusion, tied together with .100 in. thick 3003-H14 aluminum brackets, aircraft quality aluminum rivets and welded joints. Aluminum will not rust in a walk-in cooler or under a daily hose-down, and the welded joints keep a tall, fully loaded rack rigid when it is pushed through doorways.

5 In. Ball Bearing Swivel Casters

Four 5 in. swivel casters with ball bearings and non-marking hard rubber tires roll a loaded rack across tile or sealed concrete without scuffing. Two locking casters can be added when the rack parks in a proof box, along with donut bumpers to protect walls, a tray stopper and a sanitary rack cover.
