The Alexander Industries HDE-400-NESTING Bun pan rack
The Alexander Industries HDE-400-NESTING is a heavy duty end loading aluminum bun pan rack that holds 12 full-size 18 x 26 in. bun pans on 5 in. centers. The 5 in. slide spacing is the widest spacing in the series, for tall product such as domed cakes, hotel pans of rolls or trays of muffins that need headroom. It is built in nesting construction so empty racks store inside one another. It is meant for high volume bakeries, commissaries, school kitchens and institutional operations that push loaded racks all day. The rack rolls on four swivel casters and arrives fully welded and ready to use.
Nesting Construction Saves Floor Space
The frame is angled so an empty rack slides part way into the next one, the same way shopping carts stack, and Alexander builds the nesting version at the same price as the standard heavy duty rack. Pull one out and load it like any other end loading rack.
1-1/2 In. Square 6061-T6 Aluminum Frame
Uprights and cross members are 1-1/2 in. square 6061-T6 aluminum extrusion, half again the section of a standard 1 in. rack, and each tray runner is a 1 x 2 in. extrusion of the same alloy. Every joint is welded rather than riveted, so the frame is rated for a 1200 lb load and stays square after years of being pushed through doorways and bumped by dollies. Aluminum will not rust in a walk-in cooler or under a daily hose-down.
5 In. Ball Bearing Swivel Casters
Four 5 in. swivel casters with ball bearings and non-marking hard rubber tires let one person move a full rack across tile or sealed concrete without leaving scuffs. Two locking casters can be added when the rack parks next to an oven or in a proof box, along with donut bumpers to protect your walls and door frames, a tray stopper to keep pans from sliding out the open back, and a sanitary rack cover for holding uncovered product.
