The Alexander Industries HDTR-600-R-NESTING is a heavy duty aluminum nesting room service tray rack that holds 24 15 x 20 in. round edge room service trays, two per slide on 5 in. centers. It is built for hotels, hospitals and senior living kitchens that run room service on round edge trays. The rack rolls on four swivel casters, carries a 1200 lb load and arrives fully assembled and ready to use, and the nesting frame lets empty racks slide into one another to save floor space between meal periods.

1-1/2 In. Square 6061-T6 Aluminum Frame

Uprights and cross members are 1-1/2 in. square 6061-T6 aluminum extrusion, a heavier section than the 1 in. uprights on the standard TR racks, and the slides are both riveted and welded to the frame. That is where the 1200 lb load rating comes from. Aluminum does not rust in a walk-in cooler or under a daily hose-down, and the welded slides do not loosen when the rack is bumped through doorways.

1 x 3 In. Runners for Round Edge Trays

Each tray runner is a 1 x 3 in. 6061-T6 aluminum extrusion, deep enough to support a round edge room service tray that has no flat lip to ride on. Two trays sit side by side per slide, so 24 trays fit on 5 in. spacing in a 23-1/2 in. wide frame, with headroom for covered plates and domed lids.

5 In. Ball Bearing Swivel Casters

Four 5 in. swivel casters with ball bearings and non-marking hard rubber tires let one person push a loaded rack down a corridor without scuffing the floor. Two locking casters, donut bumpers, a tray stopper and a sanitary rack cover are available as options and fit this frame.
