The Alexander Industries HDU-400-NESTING Pan Rack, Universal
The Alexander Industries HDU-400-NESTING is a heavy duty nesting universal open rack that holds 12 trays or pans on 5 in. centers and takes 18 x 26 in. bun pans, 20 x 24 in. trays and 12 x 20 in. pans up to 4 in. deep on the same slides. It is built for school kitchens, hospitals and commissaries that load mixed pans and trays all day and want a frame that stays square. The rack is welded throughout, rolls on four swivel casters and arrives fully assembled and ready to use. Its nesting construction lets empty racks slide into one another so a fleet takes up a fraction of the floor space between meal periods.
1-1/2 In. Square 6061-T6 Aluminum Frame
Uprights and cross members are 1-1/2 in. square 6061-T6 aluminum extrusion, and every tray slide is a 1 x 4 in. aluminum angle with a 0.093 in. wall. All welded construction means there are no rivets to loosen when the rack is pushed through doorways, and the frame carries a 1200 lb load. Aluminum will not rust in a walk-in cooler or under a daily hose-down.
5 In. Ball Bearing Swivel Casters
Four 5 in. swivel casters with ball bearings and non-marking hard rubber tires let one person roll a loaded rack across tile or sealed concrete without leaving scuffs. Two locking casters can be added when your rack parks beside a serving line.
Optional Accessories
Alexander offers donut bumpers to protect walls and door frames, a tray stopper to keep pans from sliding off the open end, a sanitary rack cover for holding uncovered product, and a pair of locking casters. All fit this frame without modification.
