The Alexander Industries R-300 Refrigerator Rack

The Alexander Industries R-300 is a roll-in refrigerator rack that holds 11 full-size 18 x 26 in. bun pans on 5 in. centers. It is built for the walk-in cooler and freezer, where a bakery, commissary or hotel kitchen needs to wheel a full load of pans in to chill and back out again without unloading a single tray. The 5 in. slide spacing is the widest spacing in the series, sized for tall product like layered cakes, whole pies or covered proofing pans. The rack rolls on four swivel casters and arrives fully assembled, so it goes to work the day it lands on your dock.

Solid 1/8 In. Aluminum Bottom

Unlike an open bun pan rack, this rack has a solid 1/8 in. thick aluminum bottom that catches drips and crumbs before they reach the cooler floor. It also stiffens the frame, which is why the rack is riveted together at the factory rather than knocked down. Your staff can hose the bottom sheet off with the rest of the rack, and aluminum will not rust in the constant humidity of a walk-in.

6061-T6 Aluminum Extrusion Frame

Uprights and cross members are 1 in. square 6061-T6 aluminum extrusion, and each tray runner is a 1-7/16 x 1-7/8 in. extrusion of the same alloy with enough section to carry a loaded pan without sagging. Corners are tied together with .100 in. thick 3003-H14 aluminum brackets and aircraft quality aluminum rivets, so the frame stays square through years of trips over the cooler threshold.

5 In. Ball Bearing Swivel Casters

Four 5 in. swivel casters with ball bearings and non-marking hard rubber tires roll a full rack over tile and sealed concrete without scuffing. A tray stopper, a sanitary rack cover and a pair of locking casters are available as options.
