The Alexander Industries TR-600-R Tray Rack
The Alexander Industries TR-600-R is an aluminum tray rack for prepared meals that holds 22 trays sized 15 x 20 in., loaded two per slide on 5 in. centers. It suits hospital and school kitchens, caterers and commissaries that plate meals ahead of service and need somewhere to stage the trays. The rack rolls on four swivel casters and arrives knocked down for assembly, with factory assembly available as an option.
6061-T6 Aluminum Extrusion Frame
Uprights and cross members are 1 in. square 6061-T6 aluminum extrusion, and each tray runner is a 1-7/16 x 1-7/8 in. extrusion of the same alloy. Aluminum does not rust in a walk-in cooler or under a daily hose-down. Corners are joined with .100 in. thick 3003-H14 high tensile aluminum brackets and aircraft quality aluminum rivets, so the frame stays square through years of trips between the kitchen and the dining room.
5 In. Slide Spacing, Two Trays Per Slide
Each slide carries two 15 x 20 in. trays side by side, which is how the 22-tray count fits in a 22-1/4 in. wide frame. The 5 in. spacing leaves room for covered plates and domed lids on every level.
5 In. Ball Bearing Swivel Casters
Four 5 in. swivel casters with ball bearings and non-marking hard rubber tires let one person push a loaded rack over tile without scuffing the floor. Two locking casters, donut bumpers, a tray stopper and a sanitary rack cover are available as options and fit this frame.
