The Everest EBC65 is the big two lid unit in the EBC Series, a 65 inch horizontal bottle cooler for bars and taverns that want three-lid capacity without giving a third lid its own slot. Stock loads from the top through a pair of stainless steel countertop lids over wide 30 1/4 inch openings, and the 21 cubic foot chest swallows up to 780 twelve-ounce cans or 528 twelve-ounce bottles at serving temperature, a full weekend delivery for most rooms. A digital controller holds the chest anywhere from 33°F to 54°F, factory preset at 35°F.

Side Mounted Blizzard R290 Cartridge that Swaps without On-Site Brazing

The condensing unit is a side mounted, self-contained Blizzard R290 cartridge that is fully detachable and replaceable in the field with no on-site brazing. Unlike a conventional sealed system repair that can park the cooler in a back hallway while a refrigeration tech opens the circuit, a cartridge swap puts the unit back behind the bar the same visit. The cartridge runs EPA-compliant R290 refrigerant with zero ozone depletion potential and a global warming potential of three.

Electronically commutated fan motors pull the chest down to temperature quickly while drawing less energy, and a full-length air duct keeps cold air moving through the load instead of pooling under the lids. The defrost cycle is time-initiated and temperature-terminated, so it runs itself, and condensate evaporates from a self-maintaining drain pan with no external drain or electric heater. Large capacity, corrosion-resistant condenser and evaporator coils carry the cooling load, while a high performance, auto-reverse condenser fan supports compressor ventilation and helps keep the condenser coil clean.

Each of the two lids is built like the cabinet it covers: heavy duty stainless steel outside, galvanized steel inside, with 3/4 inch of high density polyurethane insulation in between so the chest is not fighting the room every time service slows down. Removable ratchet locks keep your items safe from theft overnight, which matters when the cooler holds a full delivery of 780 cans, 528 bottles, or the mixed load that actually fills 21 cubic feet behind the bar.

Inside, the chest is open spaced with no walls between compartments, so you decide how the space divides. Four vertical epoxy coated, steel wire bin dividers sort brands into lanes a bartender can find blind, and two horizontal epoxy coated, steel wire shelves lift the bottom layer off the floor of the galvanized steel interior so cold air circulates under the load instead of around it.

The heavy duty stainless steel countertop and rails turn the top of the cooler into working bar surface, and the body wears a textured laminate, black vinyl exterior that blends into the front of the house better than bare metal. A front mounted bottle cap opener pops caps right where bottles come out of the chest, and both the opener and its catch tray detach for ease of cleaning at close.

The cabinet carries 1 3/4 inch thick high density polyurethane insulation and shielded LED bar lighting on its own on/off switch, so labels read clearly even with the backbar lights down. A multi-function digital controller with an easy to read LED display holds the chest anywhere from 33°F to 54°F, factory preset at 35°F so stock goes in at delivery temperature and comes out ready to serve. An audible overheat protection alarm watches the compressor and condenser coil and warns you before a ventilation problem becomes a warm load of product.

Everest supports the unit with optional extra vertical bin dividers when your brand list grows, an epoxy coated bottle cooler partition, 3 inch or 5 inch swivel casters with locks that thread into the built-in receptacles, and 3.5 inch to 6 inch height-adjustable, interchangeable legs.

The EBC65 is a refrigerator only, with a floor of 33°F, so it holds and serves but never freezes. Two lids over 780 cans make it the capacity sweet spot of the family: the EBC50 covers two stations at 576 cans in 15 fewer inches, while the three lid EBC80 and EBC95 add a third station for longer rails. Plan around the 64 5/8 by 26 3/4 inch footprint with clear reach above both lids, and power is ordinary: 115V at 3.5 amps through a 9 foot cord and a standard NEMA 5-15P plug.
