The condensing unit is a side mounted, self-contained Blizzard R290 cartridge that is fully detachable and replaceable in the field with no on-site brazing. Unlike a conventional sealed system repair that can park your draft program while a refrigeration tech opens the circuit, a cartridge swap gets the beer pouring again the same visit. The cartridge runs EPA-compliant R290 refrigerant with zero ozone depletion potential and a global warming potential of three.

Electronically commutated fan motors pull the cabinet down to temperature quickly while drawing less energy, and a full-length air duct keeps cold air circulating around the kegs instead of pooling at the floor. The defrost cycle is time-initiated and temperature-terminated, so it runs itself, and condensate evaporates from a self-maintaining drain pan with no external drain or electric heater. The EBD2 is a refrigerator only, with a floor of 33°F, and two half barrels is its ceiling: the EBD3 and EBD4 siblings carry three and four kegs across 69 and 90 inch lengths, while the 24 inch EBD1 covers a single tap. The same two keg cabinet also comes as the EBD2-SS in a stainless steel exterior, as the shallower EBD2-24 in the 24 inch depth class, and as the shorter 48 inch EBDS2-24. This cabinet runs 57 3/4 inches long by 27 inches deep and needs 49 inches of clear depth with a door open, so measure the aisle behind your bar before committing to the slot.
