The compartment behind the left door is rated for a half barrel plus a slim quarter barrel, with a fully insulated single faucet draft arm above it, while the right side stages up to 360 12 oz. cans or 240 12 oz. bottles on two adjustable wire shelves, so one 24 cubic foot footprint covers the draft program, the backup keg, and the bottle and can service. The draft arm and its matching air distributor ship on the unit rather than as add-ons, and a digital controller holds the cabinet anywhere from 33°F to 54°F, factory preset at 35°F.

The condensing unit is a side mounted, self-contained Blizzard R290 cartridge that is fully detachable and replaceable in the field with no on-site brazing. Unlike a conventional sealed system repair that can park both your tap and your bottle service while a refrigeration tech opens the circuit, a cartridge swap gets the cabinet pouring again the same visit. The cartridge runs EPA-compliant R290 refrigerant with zero ozone depletion potential and a global warming potential of three.

Electronically commutated fan motors pull the cabinet down to temperature quickly while drawing less energy, and a full-length air duct keeps cold air moving through both compartments instead of pooling at the floor. The defrost cycle is time-initiated and temperature-terminated, so it runs itself, and condensate evaporates from a self-maintaining drain pan with no external drain or electric heater. Large capacity, corrosion-resistant condenser and evaporator coils carry the cooling load, while a high performance, auto-reverse condenser fan supports compressor ventilation and helps keep the condenser coil clean.

An audible overheat protection alarm watches the compressor and condenser coil and warns you before a ventilation problem becomes a warm cabinet of flat beer.

Everest supports the unit with optional dual or triple faucet 304 stainless steel draft arms and matching 2-way or 3-way air distributors when your tap list outgrows a single faucet, plus 3 inch or 5 inch swivel casters with locks, 3.5 inch to 6 inch height-adjustable, interchangeable legs, and additional wire shelving for the back bar side.

The EBD3-BB is a refrigerator only, with a floor of 33°F, and its keg bay is sized for one half barrel plus one slim quarter, not two full halves: the dedicated EBD3 direct draw cabinet carries three half barrels in the same 68 inch length if draft is the whole job, while Everest's EBB back bar coolers cover all-packaged programs with no tap at all.
