The Everest EBF1 is the single door freezer in Everest's EB Series bottom mount reach-in line, the box for kitchens that want a bottom-breathing frozen storage cabinet with the extra interior depth that full-size sheet pans demand, all in 27 inches of wall space. With the condensing unit mounted below the cabinet instead of on top, the EBF1 runs a deeper 33 1/8 inch body, and an optional mounting rack assembly turns that depth into straight-in storage for standard full-size sheet pans. The 21 cubic foot interior, full stainless steel construction and a locking solid door make it a working reach-in freezer for bakeries, prep lines and back-of-house frozen storage alike.

Bottom Mounted Blizzard R290 Cartridge that Swaps without On-Site Brazing

The condensing unit is a bottom mounted, self-contained Blizzard R290 cartridge that is fully detachable and replaceable in the field with no on-site brazing. Unlike a conventional sealed system repair that can park a freezer out of service while a refrigeration tech opens the circuit, a cartridge swap gets the box back to work the same visit. The 1/2 HP cartridge delivers 3,435 BTU per hour of cooling on natural R290 refrigerant with zero ozone depletion potential and a global warming potential of three, and an air circulation guard keeps the floor-level vents from being blocked by whatever gets pushed against the cabinet during a busy shift.

Electronically commutated fan motors pull the cabinet to temperature quickly while drawing less power, and the auto defrost cycle starts on a timer and ends on temperature, so it runs only as long as the coil needs. The condensate pan maintains itself with no external drain line or electric heater, which is one less floor penetration in your install. An auto-reverse condenser fan supports compressor ventilation and helps keep the condenser coil clean between cleanings, and pressure relief devices let staff re-open a just-closed door instead of waiting out the vacuum.

A multi-function digital controller with an easy to read LED display ships factory preset at -4°F and adjusts anywhere from -10°F to 54°F. An audible overheat alarm watches the compressor and condenser coil and sounds before a developing problem turns into lost product. Everest backs the unit with 3 year parts and labor, 5 year electrical, and 10 year compressor coverage, supported through its service agent network.

If the stock configuration does not match your line, Everest offers additional shelving, the sheet pan mounting rack assembly, a left hinged door, 3 inch locking swivel casters in place of the standard 5 inch set, and height adjustable interchangeable legs from 3.5 to 6 inches.

Keep in mind this is a freezer only; kitchens that also need chilled storage are better served by the refrigerator or dual temp cabinets in the same bottom mount line. One door covering 21 cubic feet suits a single station or a moderate frozen inventory, and operations stocking for volume should look at the two and three door freezers in the family.
