The Everest EBF2 is the full-size two door freezer in Everest's EB Series bottom mount reach-in line, the volume box for kitchens that want the bottom-breathing, sheet pan friendly format with the largest two door capacity in the family. Two solid stainless steel doors open onto one shared 50 cubic foot interior across a 54 1/8 inch footprint, and with the condensing unit mounted below the cabinet the EBF2 runs a deeper 33 1/8 inch body that swallows bulky frozen product and full-size baking sheet pans. Full stainless steel construction and pre-installed locks on both doors make it a working reach-in freezer for prep lines, bakeries and back-of-house frozen storage alike.

Bottom Mounted Blizzard R290 Cartridge that Swaps without On-Site Brazing

The condensing unit is a bottom mounted, self-contained Blizzard R290 cartridge that is fully detachable and replaceable in the field with no on-site brazing. Unlike a conventional sealed system repair that can park a freezer out of service while a refrigeration tech opens the circuit, a cartridge swap gets the box back to work the same visit. The 1 HP cartridge delivers 6,197 BTU per hour of cooling on natural R290 refrigerant with zero ozone depletion potential and a global warming potential of three, and an air circulation guard keeps the floor-level vents from being blocked by whatever gets pushed against the cabinet during a busy shift.

Electronically commutated fan motors pull the cabinet to temperature quickly while drawing less power, and the auto defrost cycle starts on a timer and ends on temperature, so it runs only as long as the coil needs. The condensate pan maintains itself with no external drain line or electric heater, which is one less floor penetration in your install. An auto-reverse condenser fan supports compressor ventilation and helps keep the condenser coil clean between cleanings, and pressure relief devices let staff re-open a just-closed door instead of waiting out the vacuum.

Two Solid Stainless Steel Doors with Self-Closing Torsion Hinges and Pre-Installed Locks

Each 26 1/2 inch door is heavy duty stainless steel inside and out with the same 2.5 inch high density polyurethane insulation as the cabinet walls, so the most-opened surfaces of the box insulate as well as the body around them. Both doors self-close through adjustable torsion systems for a positive seal, carry high strength recessed handles that will not catch passing carts, and come with pre-installed locks so frozen stock stays put overnight. Frame heaters prevent exterior moisture build up on humid days, the snap-in magnetic gaskets pop out for cleaning or replacement without tools, and the doors are field reversible if your traffic flow runs the other way.

Inside there are no dividing walls, just one open 50 cubic foot compartment made deeper than Everest's top mount uprights so bulky boxed product and full-size baking sheet pans fit without diagonal stacking. Six epoxy coated steel wire shelves, three behind each door, ride height adjustable stainless steel clips, and the optional sheet pan mounting rack assembly adds bottom-support tray slides for standard full-size pans. The interior and exterior are heavy duty stainless steel with rounded corners that will not snag knuckles or towels, the top, bottom and rear are galvanized steel, and 2.5 inch high density polyurethane insulation fills the cabinet walls. A full-length air duct and airflow guard keep cold air moving through the whole cavity, and silicone coated, shatter-proof LED lighting gives bright, high color illumination with low heat output. The cabinet rolls on four 5 inch swivel casters with locks on the front set, and leg stabilizers come standard.

Digital Controller that Holds -10°F to 54°F with an Overheat Alarm

A multi-function digital controller with an easy to read LED display ships factory preset at -4°F and adjusts anywhere from -10°F to 54°F. An audible overheat alarm watches the compressor and condenser coil and sounds before a developing problem turns into lost product. Everest backs the unit with 3 year parts and labor, 5 year electrical, and 10 year compressor coverage, supported through its service agent network.

If the stock configuration does not match your line, Everest offers additional shelving, the sheet pan mounting rack assembly, a left hinged door, 3 inch locking swivel casters in place of the standard 5 inch set, and height adjustable interchangeable legs from 3.5 to 6 inches.

Keep in mind this is a freezer only; kitchens that also need chilled storage are better served by the refrigerator or dual temp cabinets in the same bottom mount line. With 50 cubic feet behind two wide doors it is built for volume stocking: the 49 5/8 inch sibling saves four and a half inches of wall at 48 cubic feet, while operations provisioning for serious throughput should look at the three door flagship. It also runs taller than a top mount upright, standing 82 inches on its casters. Power is a standard 115V connection on a 9 foot cord, with no dedicated high-voltage circuit needed.
