The pairing is matched to the work: a 1/4+ HP cartridge rated at 1,672 BTU per hour holds the chilled side while a 1/2 HP cartridge rated at 3,435 BTU per hour drives the freezer, and because each compartment has its own cartridge, a fault on one side never takes down the other. An air circulation guard keeps the floor-level vents from being blocked during a busy shift.
