The Everest EGSH2 is the single section model in Everest's ES Series glass and solid combination half door lineup, built for stations that want top-shelf stock visible through glass while bulk backstock stays sealed behind a solid door below, all in one 29 1/4 inch wide reach-in refrigerator. The upper low emissivity double pane glass half door lets staff see what is running low without opening anything, and the lower solid stainless steel half door wraps the bottom of the 23 cubic foot interior in 2.5 inches of insulation, so each grab vents only half the box. At under 32 inches deep, the cabinet holds the same wall line as your worktables, and the full stainless steel body keeps it a working reach-in rather than a lightweight merchandiser.

Slide-Out Blizzard R290 Cartridge that Swaps without On-Site Brazing

The condensing unit is a top mounted, self-contained Blizzard R290 cartridge that is fully detachable and replaceable in the field with no on-site brazing. Unlike a conventional sealed system repair that can park a cabinet out of service while a refrigeration tech opens the circuit, a cartridge swap gets the box back to work the same visit. The cartridge runs natural R290 refrigerant with zero ozone depletion potential and a global warming potential of three.

Electronically commutated fan motors pull the cabinet to temperature quickly while drawing less power, and as a refrigerator the EGSH2 defrosts on an air cycle with no heater element involved. The condensate pan maintains itself with no external drain line or electric heater, which is one less floor penetration in your install. An auto-reverse condenser fan supports compressor ventilation and helps keep the condenser coil clean between cleanings, and pressure relief devices let staff re-open a just-closed door instead of waiting out the vacuum.

A multi-function digital controller with an easy to read LED display ships factory preset at 35°F and adjusts anywhere from 33°F to 54°F. An audible overheat alarm watches the compressor and condenser coil and sounds before a developing problem turns into lost product. Everest backs the unit with 3 year parts and labor, 5 year electrical, and 10 year compressor coverage, supported through its service agent network.

If the stock configuration does not match your line, Everest offers additional shelving, a gravity shelf and bottle organizer, 3 inch locking swivel casters in place of the standard 5 inch set, and height adjustable interchangeable legs from 3.5 to 6 inches.

Keep in mind this is a refrigerator only, holding 33°F to 54°F, and the glass-over-solid split is fixed: if every shelf needs to read as a display, the all-glass half door cabinet on the same footprint is the better fit, while kitchens that never show product get more insulation value from the all-solid version. Power is a standard 115V connection on a 9 foot cord, with no dedicated high-voltage circuit needed.
