The Everest ESF2 is the two door workhorse of Everest's ES Series top mount reach-in freezer family, a 49 5/8 inch wide upright freezer for full-service kitchens whose frozen inventory has outgrown a single door box. Two solid stainless steel doors open onto one 48 cubic foot interior with no walls between compartments, so full sheet pans, bulk cases and backup stock go wherever there is shelf space rather than where a divider allows. Six adjustable wire shelves across the two sections keep product staged for back-of-house prep, and at under 32 inches deep the cabinet holds serious volume without eating the corridor in front of it.

Slide-Out Blizzard R290 Cartridge that Swaps without On-Site Brazing

The condensing unit is a top mounted, self-contained Blizzard R290 cartridge that is fully detachable and replaceable in the field with no on-site brazing. Unlike a conventional sealed system repair that can park a cabinet out of service while a refrigeration tech opens the circuit, a cartridge swap gets the box back to work the same visit, which matters even more on a freezer where a long outage means thawed inventory. The cartridge runs natural R290 refrigerant with zero ozone depletion potential and a global warming potential of three.

Electronically commutated fan motors pull the cabinet down to temperature quickly while drawing less power, and the auto defrost heater starts on a timer and ends on temperature, so frost clears in exactly the time the coil needs and no longer. The condensate pan maintains itself with no external drain line or electric heater, which is one less floor penetration in your install. An auto-reverse condenser fan supports compressor ventilation and helps keep the condenser coil clean between cleanings, and pressure relief devices let staff re-open a just-closed door instead of waiting out the vacuum.

Each 24 inch door is heavy duty stainless steel inside and out with the same 2.5 inch high density polyurethane insulation as the cabinet walls, so the swing side of the box insulates as well as the rest of it. The doors self-close through adjustable torsion systems for a positive seal, carry high strength recessed handles that will not catch passing carts, and come with pre-installed locks so stock stays put overnight. Frame heaters prevent exterior moisture build up around the openings, the snap-in magnetic gaskets pop out for cleaning or replacement without tools, and the doors are field reversible if your traffic flow runs the other way.

Inside there are no dividing walls, just one open cavity with six epoxy coated steel wire shelves on height adjustable stainless steel clips, three behind each door. The interior and exterior are heavy duty stainless steel with rounded corners that will not snag knuckles or towels, the top, bottom and rear are galvanized steel, and 2.5 inch high density polyurethane insulation fills the cabinet walls. A full-length air duct and airflow guard keep cold air moving through the whole cavity, an air circulation guard keeps the floor vents from being blocked by product, and silicone coated, shatter-proof LED lighting gives bright, high color illumination with low heat output. The cabinet rolls on four 5 inch swivel casters with locks on the front set.

Digital Controller that Holds -10°F to 54°F with an Overheat Alarm

A multi-function digital controller with an easy to read LED display ships factory preset at -4°F and adjusts anywhere from -10°F to 54°F. An audible overheat alarm watches the compressor and condenser coil and sounds before a developing problem turns into thawed product. Everest backs the unit with 3 year parts and labor, 5 year electrical, and 10 year compressor coverage, supported through its service agent network.

If the stock configuration does not match your line, Everest offers additional shelving, 3 inch locking swivel casters in place of the standard 5 inch set, height adjustable interchangeable legs from 3.5 to 6 inches, and a left hinged door option.

Keep in mind this is a freezer only; the ES Series includes refrigerator and dual temperature versions if part of your stock needs chilled rather than frozen storage. Two doors and 48 cubic feet fit a full-service kitchen running real frozen volume, while a single station with a moderate backup load is better matched to the 29 1/4 inch one door freezer in the same series.
