The Everest Refrigeration ESPT-1S-1S Pass Thru Refrigerator
The Everest ESPT-1S-1S is a 29-inch pass-thru refrigerator for kitchens that load product from the back of house and pull it from the service side, so nobody walks around the cabinet in the middle of a rush. It is the most compact solid door configuration in Everest's ES Series top mount pass-thru lineup, with a single 23 cubic foot section behind one solid stainless steel door on the front and another on the rear. At 29 1/4 inches wide it drops into a single-door slot on the line, which makes it the pass-thru to spec when the kitchen needs two-sided access but the floor plan will not give up four feet of wall.
Slide-Out Blizzard R290 Cartridge that Swaps without On-Site Brazing
The condensing unit is a top mounted, self-contained Blizzard R290 cartridge that is fully detachable and replaceable in the field with no on-site brazing. Unlike a conventional sealed system repair that can park a cabinet out of service while a refrigeration tech opens the circuit, a cartridge swap gets the box back to work the same visit. The cartridge runs natural R290 refrigerant with zero ozone depletion potential and a global warming potential of three.
Electronically commutated fan motors pull the cabinet to temperature quickly while drawing less power, and the auto defrost cycle starts on a timer and ends on temperature, so it runs only as long as the coil needs. The condensate pan maintains itself with no external drain line or electric heater, which is one less floor penetration in your install. An auto-reverse condenser fan supports compressor ventilation and helps keep the condenser coil clean between cleanings, and pressure relief devices let staff re-open a just-closed door instead of waiting out the vacuum.
One Solid Stainless Front Door and One Solid Stainless Rear Door
Both doors are heavy duty stainless steel inside and out and carry the same 2.5 inch high density polyurethane insulation as the cabinet walls, so the thermal envelope stays continuous whether crews are loading from the back corridor or pulling from the line. Each door is self-closing with an adjustable torsion system for a positive seal, wears a high strength recessed handle, and comes with a pre-installed lock so stock stays put overnight. Frame heaters prevent exterior moisture build up, snap-in magnetic gaskets make gasket cleaning and replacement quick, and both doors are field reversible.
23 Cu. Ft. Open Interior Built in Heavy Duty Stainless Steel
Inside is one open compartment with three epoxy coated steel wire shelves on height adjustable stainless steel clips. The interior and exterior are heavy duty stainless steel with rounded corners that will not snag knuckles or towels, the top and bottom are galvanized steel, and 2.5 inch high density polyurethane insulation fills both the cabinet walls and the doors. A full-length air duct and airflow guard keep cold air moving through the whole cavity, and silicone coated, shatter-proof LED lighting gives bright, high color illumination with low heat output. The cabinet rolls on four 5 inch swivel casters with locks on the front set, and leg stabilizers come standard.
Digital Controller that Holds 33°F to 54°F with an Overheat Alarm
A multi-function digital controller with an easy to read LED display ships factory preset at 35°F and adjusts anywhere from 33°F to 54°F. An audible overheat alarm watches the compressor and condenser coil and sounds before a developing problem turns into lost product. Everest backs the unit with 3 year parts and labor, 5 year electrical, and 10 year compressor coverage, supported through its service agent network.
If the stock configuration does not match your line, Everest offers additional shelving, a gravity shelf and bottle organizer, a sheet pan mounting rack, 3 inch locking swivel casters in place of the standard 5 inch set, height adjustable interchangeable legs from 3.5 to 6 inches, and a left hinged door option.
Keep in mind this is a refrigerator only, holding 33°F to 54°F; the ES Series includes freezer and dual temperature versions if you need frozen storage. The pass-thru layout also assumes staff access on both sides, so if the unit will sit against a wall, a standard front-access reach-in from the same series is the better buy, and if one section will not cover your volume, the family also comes in a wider two section version. Power is a standard 115V connection on a 9 foot cord, with no dedicated high-voltage circuit needed.
