Everest ETF1 36 In. Side Mount Undercounter Freezer, 1 Solid Door, 9 Cu. Ft., 16 Gauge Stainless Steel Worktop

SKUETF1 BrandEverest Refrigeration

The Everest Refrigeration ETF1 Undercounter Freezer

The Everest ETF1 is the single door entry point to the ET Series of side mount undercounter freezers, putting 9 cubic feet of frozen storage and a 16 gauge stainless steel worktop into one 35 5/8 inch cabinet that works as counter space and freezer at the same time. Park it at a fry station or dessert line and the cook preps on top while frozen backup waits behind the locking door below instead of across the kitchen in the walk-in. The condensing unit rides in a housing at the left end and breathes through the front grille, so the cabinet backs flush against a wall or tucks under a counter in the standard 31 1/2 inch deep undercounter line.

Side Mounted Blizzard R290 Cartridge that Swaps without On-Site Brazing

The cooling system is a side mounted, self-contained and fully detachable Blizzard R290 condensing unit, and because the whole cartridge slides out, a service tech can replace the entire sealed system without on-site brazing instead of parking the box for days over a compressor problem. The 1/3 horsepower compressor is rated at 1,119 BTU per hour and runs natural R290 refrigerant with zero ozone depletion potential and a global warming potential of three, and the unit arrives pre-wired and ready to plug in on a standard 115V circuit.

Electronically commutated fan motors pull the cabinet down to freezing while drawing less power, and a full-length air duct keeps cold air circulating evenly instead of pooling near the evaporator. Defrost runs automatically on a time-initiated, temperature-terminated cycle so the coil stays clear without anyone scraping it, the self-maintaining condensate pan needs no external drain line or electric heater, the auto-reverse condenser fan supports compressor ventilation and helps keep the condenser coil clean, and pressure relief devices let staff re-open a just-closed door instead of waiting out the vacuum a freezer pulls.

One Solid Stainless Steel Door with a Pre-Installed Lock

The 22 3/4 inch door is heavy duty stainless steel inside and out with 2.5 inch high density polyurethane insulation, so it shrugs off cart strikes the way lighter panels cannot. It self-closes through an adjustable torsion system for a positive seal, the snap-in magnetic gasket pops out for cleaning or replacement without tools, and frame heaters stop exterior moisture and frost build up around the opening, which matters far more at freezer temperatures than on a refrigerator. The high strength recessed handle stays out of the walkway, and the pre-installed lock keeps stock secure after close.

9 Cu. Ft. Open Interior Under a 16 Gauge Stainless Steel Worktop

Behind the door is an open spaced interior with no walls between compartments, so boxes and bins of frozen product slide in without fighting dividers. Two epoxy coated steel wire shelves sit on height adjustable stainless steel clips, and silicone coated, shatter-proof LED lighting throws bright, high color light through the cavity while adding almost no heat. The interior and exterior are heavy duty stainless steel with rounded corners, the bottom and rear are galvanized steel, and 2.5 inch high density polyurethane insulation fills the cabinet walls. The body stands 29 1/4 inches tall, or 34 1/4 inches on its four 5 inch swivel casters with locks on the front set, so it rolls out for cleaning and locks in place during service.

Digital Controller that Holds -10°F to 54°F with an Overheat Alarm

A multi-function digital controller with an easy to read LED display ships preset at -4°F and adjusts anywhere from -10°F to 54°F, deep enough to hold ice cream hard while leaving room to run warmer when the menu changes. An audible overheat alarm watches the compressor and condenser coil and sounds before a developing problem turns into a thawed-out loss. Everest backs the unit with 3 year parts and labor, 5 year electrical, and 10 year compressor coverage, supported through its service agent network.

If the stock setup does not match your station, Everest offers additional shelving, a 4 inch high stainless steel backsplash (35 1/2 inches long) for worktop applications, a stainless steel double overshelf that adds two raised 33 by 13.5 inch shelves above the worktop, a 3 inch caster assembly in place of the standard 5 inch set, and height adjustable interchangeable legs from 3.5 to 6 inches.

Keep in mind the ETF1 is a freezer first: if the station only needs chilled product, the matching ETR1 refrigerator holds 33°F to 54°F in the same footprint. This is the narrowest cabinet in the freezer line; the two door ETF2 and ETWF2 and the three door ETF3 add capacity for bigger stations, while the ETF1-24 carries the same single door layout in a shallower 24 inch depth class for aisles that cannot give up a full depth cabinet. On its standard casters the unit stands 34 1/4 inches overall, so verify your counter clearance and use the optional 3 inch casters or adjustable legs where the line runs lower. Power is a standard 115V connection drawing 2 amps on a 9 foot cord, with no dedicated circuit needed.

The Everest Refrigeration ETF1 Undercounter Freezer

    About Undercounter Freezers

Undercounter freezers give you frozen storage where you need it. They fit under counters and prep tables. Restaurants, bars, delis, and food trucks use them to keep frozen product close without losing floor space. They hold temp, even in busy, hot kitchens.

Most undercounter freezers have solid doors. Drawer models are common on cook lines where staff need quick access without bending down. Drawers speed up service and keep staff at their station. Both types fit under standard counters and come in different widths.

Pick your freezer based on size, capacity, and how it fits your line. Small units work for tight spots or as backup storage. Larger ones hold more if you need volume at the station. Measure your space and match the unit to what you actually use each day.

    Common Types and Configurations

    • Standard Door Undercounter Freezer: Solid door. Fits under standard counters. Single or double door. Reliable frozen storage in a small footprint.
    • Commercial Undercounter Freezer with Drawers: Pull-out drawers instead of doors. Faster access on the line. Good for stations where staff need to grab product fast.
    • Small Commercial Undercounter Freezer: Compact. Fits tight spaces or works as extra storage. Same performance as bigger models.
    • Worktop Undercounter Freezer: Has a stainless prep top. Gives you frozen storage and a work surface in one unit.
    • Commercial Grade Freezer: Built for daily use. Heavy-duty compressor, tough gaskets, and interiors made for busy kitchens.

What to Look at Before You Buy

    • Unit Dimensions: Measure your space before you buy. Most fit under 36 inch counters, but check height, width, and depth against your setup.
    • Door vs. Drawer: Doors cost less and give full access. Drawers cost more but speed up workflow on busy lines.
    • Temperature Range: Make sure the unit holds 0°F or below, even when loaded. If your kitchen is hot, check the ambient temp rating on the spec sheet.
    • Capacity: Size the unit for what you actually need to store at the station. If one undercounter freezer is not enough, look at a reach-in or add a second unit.
    • Compressor Location: Most units have the compressor on the left or right. Make sure there is enough space for airflow and no conflict with other equipment.
    • Defrost System: Most use automatic defrost. Make sure the cycle fits your usage and does not cause temp spikes that hurt product quality.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is a commercial undercounter freezer?

An undercounter freezer is a compact freezer that fits under your counter or prep table. It keeps frozen product at the station for fast access. You see them in restaurants, bars, delis, and food trucks where space is tight and you need frozen storage close by.

What is the difference between a commercial undercounter freezer and a worktop freezer?

The difference is the top. A worktop freezer has a stainless prep surface. An undercounter freezer slides under your existing counter. Both give you frozen storage, but a worktop is freestanding and has its own top. An undercounter unit fits into your counter run.

What sizes do commercial undercounter freezers come in?

Undercounter freezers come in widths from 27 to 60 inches. Most fit under 36 inch counters and are about 30 inches deep. Width is the main thing to check. Measure your counter run and make sure the unit fits before you order.
