The refrigerator side ships preset at 35°F and adjusts from 33°F to 54°F, while the freezer side ships at -4°F and adjusts from -10°F to 54°F, so one zone can be tuned for delicate produce while the other holds ice cream hard. An audible overheat alarm watches the compressor and condenser coil and sounds before a developing problem turns into lost product.
