Matched with the IYF0900C ice machine head, the system produces up to 816 lb of ice per 24 hours at 70°F air and 50°F water and holds 675 lb output even at a 90°F/70°F summer rating point, so a full dinner rush or a hot-weather beverage push does not outrun the supply. The 1.5 HP compressor and condenser fan sit on the roof or in a utility area, and the unit keeps making ice in ambient air from -20°F to 120°F, which a kitchen-bound self-contained machine cannot tolerate. This is a component, not a complete machine: the ice machine head, storage bin or dispenser, and interconnecting refrigerant lines are all ordered separately, and Manitowoc designs the pairing as a closed system, so it pairs only with the Manitowoc heads specified for it, the IYF0900C and the IBF0820C, and cannot be matched to any other ice machine or condenser brand. Rises over 20 ft require the K-00172 S-trap kit, and Manitowoc's matched interconnecting tubing kits (RC-21 (20 ft), RC-31 (30 ft), RC-51 (50 ft)) are ordered separately so the charge and line sizing stay within factory spec.

Minimum circuit ampacity is 11.5 amps (1 ph), 7.1 amps (3 ph) with a maximum fuse size of 20 amps (1 ph), 15 amps (3 ph), and HACR-type circuit breakers can be used in place of fuses.
