The Manitowoc IDF2100C is the highest-output QuietQube remote head in the 30 in. wide lineup, built for stadium stands, large hotels, and healthcare kitchens where ice demand runs around the clock and the compressor belongs on the roof, not over the service line. It produces up to 1,800 lb of dice ice per 24 hours at 70°F air and 50°F water and holds 1,575 lb at the 90°F/70°F rating point, so two machines on a single LB1760 bin can back an entire concession level or cafeteria through peak pulls. This is a head section only: the required CVDF2100 condensing unit, refrigerant line set, and a storage bin or dispenser are all sold separately, and the system pairs only with Manitowoc CVD components; if your daily draw sits well under a thousand pounds, the IDF1400C or IDF1800C covers it with a smaller electrical footprint. Plan on a 115V circuit for the head, a separate 208-230V circuit for the condensing unit sized to a 50 amp maximum fuse on single phase, a 3/8 in. water line, a 1/2 in. drain, and a refrigerant run of up to 100 ft.

Remote Refrigeration with the Condensing Unit Sold Separately

Refrigeration comes from the required CVDF2100 condensing unit, sold separately, which installs on a roof or in a mechanical space up to 100 ft away with a maximum rise of 35 ft above the head or a drop of 15 ft below it; a rise over 20 ft requires the separately ordered S-Trap Kit K-00166. The QuietQube design eliminates most noise from the refrigeration system at the point of use, and because head and condensing unit are engineered as one matched Manitowoc system, they cannot be used with any other ice machine or remote condenser brand. Interconnecting RC-23, RC-33, and RC-53 refrigerant line sets in 20 ft, 30 ft, and 50 ft lengths are ordered separately, and the head's power supply is wired independent of the condensing unit.

The IDF2100C produces standard dice cubes measuring 7/8 in. on each side, the slow-melting shape that packs tight in glassware and holds up in food display. The head measures 30.00 in. wide by 24.50 in. deep by 29.50 in. tall and mounts on a separately sold ice storage bin, countertop dispenser, or floor dispenser; Manitowoc shows it on a D-970 bin, or two heads can share one LB1760 bin for double the recovery over one storage footprint. Up to 1,800 lb of daily production from a 30 in. wide head keeps the space-saving math simple when you are planning a tight back-of-house line.

Touch Screen Display with Programmable Ice Production

The easyTouch display puts an icon-based touch screen on the front of the head, so staff run the machine without a manual in hand. Programmable ice production lets you shut the machine down during expensive electrical rate windows, cap daily production volume, or run a night program, and intelligent diagnostics provide 24 hour preventative maintenance and diagnostic feedback so a service call starts with answers instead of guesswork.

Acoustical Ice Sensing Probe with Active Sense Software

Manitowoc's patented acoustical ice sensing probe reads the ice bridge reliably in challenging water conditions and environments, and Active Sense software works with the probe to keep every harvest consistent as conditions swing. That matters in a remote installation, where the head indoors and the condensing outdoors see different temperatures across the seasons.

DuraTech Exterior with an Easy to Clean Foodzone

The DuraTech exterior provides corrosion resistance above stainless steel, with an innovative clear-coat that shrugs off fingerprints and dirt so the front-of-house side stays presentable between wipe-downs. The foodzone opens through a hung door, and the water trough, distribution tube, splash guard, water probe, and water pump all remove for fast, efficient cleaning; selected components are made with AlphaSan antimicrobial.

Accessory Options from LuminIce II to Automated Cleaning

Four factory accessories extend the platform: the LuminIce II virus and bacteria inhibitor controls viruses, bacteria, mold, and yeast within the food zone; iAuCS schedules and performs routine ice machine cleaning automatically; Arctic Pure Plus water filters reduce sediment and chlorine contaminants down to 0.5 microns; and an external holder keeps the ice scoop protected at the bin.
