Manitowoc IDT1900W-SPACE MAKER 1900 lb Indigo NXT SpaceMaker Marine Ice Machine Head, Water-Cooled, Stainless, Dice Cubes

SKUIDT1900W-SPACE MAKER BrandManitowoc

The Manitowoc IDT1900W-SPACE MAKER Modular Full Cube Ice Machine Head

The Manitowoc IDT1900W-SPACE MAKER is the SpaceMaker marine build of the Indigo NXT iT1900 head, made for ship and vessel galleys where every inch between bulkheads is spoken for. All utility connections route through the top panel, so the machine installs in contact with the back and side walls instead of losing inches to plumbing clearance, and the top and side panels stay removable for service even once the unit is fixed to the bulkhead. Production is full-size: up to 1,900 lb of dice ice per 24 hours at 70°F air and 50°F water and 1,666 lb at 90°F, on water-cooled refrigeration drawing just 3.51 kWh per 100 lb of ice, enough to supply crew mess, passenger beverage service, and provisioning from one 337 lb machine. The completely sealed stainless cabinet meets USPHS specifications and a front-mounted isolation switch cuts power to the entire unit for service; land-based kitchens that need none of that are better served by the standard IDT1900W. Plan the install around a 208-230V single-phase circuit, top-panel 3/8 in. FPT ice-making and condenser water inlets with 1/2 in. drains, a condenser loop using 145 gal per 100 lb of ice, and an IBW-M5 marine ice bin sold separately.

Icon-Based Touch Screen with Programmable Ice Production

The machine carries the standard Indigo NXT feature set, so daily operation runs through the icon-based easyTouch touch screen instead of dip switches or buried service menus. Programmable ice production, part of that platform, lets you schedule the machine off during peak electrical rates, cap it by daily production volume, or shift the work to night programming so the bin is full before the morning watch. The same controls surface cleaning modes and operating status at a glance, which matters on a vessel where the person standing in front of the machine is rarely a refrigeration tech.

Front-Facing Evaporator with Direct Food-Zone Cleaning Access

The evaporator faces forward, so crew reach the food zone for cleaning without removing the top lid, a real difference on a machine that may sit under low deckhead clearance or ducting. Sanitation accessories carry over from the rest of the Indigo NXT line: an optional LuminIce II virus and bacteria inhibitor works inside the food zone, the iAuCS accessory schedules and performs routine cleaning cycles automatically, and Arctic Pure Plus water filters strip sediment and chlorine down to 0.5 microns ahead of the machine. An external scoop holder keeps the scoop off the bin rim, and because the cabinet is completely sealed across the top, front, back, and sides, wash-down and salt spray stay out of the works.

24/7 Internal Monitoring Across Refrigeration and Sub-System Controls

An internal communication system continually monitors the refrigeration circuit and sub-system controls around the clock, part of the standard Indigo NXT feature set this SpaceMaker build carries. That monitoring matters at sea, where a service call is not a same-day event: the machine reports its own condition on the display, and the crew can see status before a small issue becomes a dead machine two days from port. The platform's operating limits hold from 40°F to 110°F ambient and 40°F to 90°F water, and water-cooled refrigeration keeps rated output steady even when the galley runs hot during service.

Sealed All-Stainless Cabinet with Top-Panel Utility Connections

Every utility, electrical, ice-making water, and condenser water, enters through the top panel, which is what lets the cabinet sit directly against the back and side walls of the galley with no clearance lost to plumbing. The stainless steel cabinet is completely sealed on the top, front, back, and sides, meets USPHS specifications, and its top and side panels remain removable for service even when the machine is fixed to the bulkhead. A front-mounted isolation switch immediately cuts power to the entire unit, and the water-cooled refrigeration system runs R410A refrigerant with a 2,500 W machine rating on a 208-230V single-phase connection, 18.8 amps of minimum circuit ampacity, and a 30 amp maximum fuse. At 337 lb net, the head rigs aboard and onto its bin without special handling equipment.
