Manitowoc IYT1500W 1,590 lb Indigo NXT Half Dice Modular Ice Machine Head, Water-Cooled, 48 In. Wide, easyTouch Display

SKUIYT1500W BrandManitowoc

The Manitowoc IYT1500W Modular Half Cube Ice Machine Head

The Manitowoc IYT1500W is the water-cooled version of Manitowoc's 48 in. iT1500 Indigo NXT half dice head, sending condenser heat down a water loop instead of into a hot equipment room. It is a machine head only: it makes the ice and stores none of it, pairing with a bin such as the D970 holding 882 lb (bin sold separately). Production runs up to 1,590 lb of half dice ice per 24 hours at single phase, 1,770 lb at 3 phase, at 70°F air and 50°F water, and Manitowoc publishes the hot-room rating too, 1,392 lb at 90°F air and 70°F water, so a large banquet kitchen or commissary holds output through a 90°F equipment room with the condenser heat going down the drain line. The IYT1500A is the air-cooled sibling without condenser water usage, the IYT1500N moves heat rejection outdoors through a separately sold remote condenser, and the IYT1900W produces more from the same 48 in. cabinet when demand runs higher; an operation wanting machine and storage in one cabinet is better served by an undercounter ice machine. Plan on a 208-230V, 60 Hz circuit with a minimum circuit ampacity of 17 amps, a 3/8 in. water inlet, a drain, and 8 in. of top and side clearance with 5 in. at the back, plus 3/8 in. condenser water inlet and 1/2 in. outlet lines for the water-cooled loop.

Touch Screen Display with Programmable Production Schedules

The icon-based easyTouch screen on the front of the head puts operating status and controls a touch away, so whoever manages the machine runs it without cracking a manual. Programmable ice production lets you idle the machine during peak electrical rates, cap output by daily volume, or run night programming, useful when the head runs around the clock and every kilowatt hour shows up on your utility bill.

3/8 In. by 1 1/8 In. Half Dice Cubes for Maximum Displacement in the Glass

The half dice cube measures 3/8 in. x 1 1/8 in. x 7/8 in., the shape beverage-heavy operations favor because it packs tighter in glassware than a full cube, chills drinks fast, and stretches every pour. At the standard rating point this head turns out up to 1,590 lb per 24 hours, easing to 1,392 lb in 90°F air with 70°F water rather than falling off a cliff. Energy use runs 3.55 kWh at single phase, 3.2 kWh at 3 phase, per 100 lb of ice at that hotter rating with 20 gal of potable water per 100 lb, plus 140 gal of condenser water per 100 lb through the cooling loop.

Hinged Front Door with Removable Water Trough, Curtain, and Probes

The food zone opens through an easy-access front door instead of panels that unscrew, and the water trough, distribution tube, curtain, and sensing probes lift out for cleaning at the sink rather than in place. Selected food zone components are made with AlphaSan antimicrobial material to slow biofilm between cleanings. If you would rather automate the routine, the optional iAuCS accessory schedules and performs routine machine cleanings automatically, the optional LuminIce II inhibitor controls viruses, bacteria, mold, and yeast within the food zone, Arctic Pure Plus filtration cuts sediment and chlorine contaminants down to .5 microns ahead of the machine, and an external scoop holder keeps the scoop off the bin rim.

Acoustical Ice Sensing Probe with Active Sense Harvest Software

Manitowoc's patented acoustical ice sensing probe reads the ice itself, which keeps harvests reliable in challenging water conditions that fool conventional sensors. Active Sense software works with that probe to hold consistent ice release across environmental swings, and the machine is rated from 40°F to 110°F ambient with 40°F to 90°F incoming water. Intelligent diagnostics run 24 hour preventative maintenance and diagnostic feedback, so a service tech arrives already knowing what the machine found.

DuraTech Exterior with Clear-Coat Protection Above Stainless Steel

The DuraTech exterior carries corrosion resistance above stainless steel, and its clear-coat resists the fingerprints and dirt that make a service-alley machine look tired by lunch. The water-cooled condenser sends its heat down the drain line instead of into your kitchen air, rejecting 23,000 BTU per hour on average, 27,000 at peak through the condenser loop. The head runs on a standard 208-230V, 60 Hz, single phase supply, with a 208-230V, 60 Hz, 3 phase version available, drawing a minimum circuit ampacity of 17 amps at 1 phase, 12.0 amps at 3 phase on the R410A refrigeration system, and it measures 48 in. wide by 24 in. deep by 29.5 in. tall on top of whichever bin you choose.
