Manitowoc RFF2200C 2063 lb QuietQube Remote Flake Ice Machine Head, Condensing Unit Sold Separately

SKURFF2200C BrandManitowoc

The Manitowoc RFF2200C Flake Ice Machine

The Manitowoc RFF2200C is the highest-capacity QuietQube remote flake ice machine head in the line, built for supermarkets, banquet operations, and display programs that go through a ton of flake ice a day and want the refrigeration heat and noise out of the room. It produces up to 2,063 lb of flake ice per 24 hours at 70°F air and 50°F water and holds 1,702 lb at the 90°F/70°F rating point, at 3.87 kWh and 12 gal of potable water per 100 lb of ice, enough to rebuild banks of display cases overnight and keep them topped off through service. This is a head only: the RCUF-2200C condensing unit, interconnecting refrigerant lines, and storage bin are ordered separately, the condensing unit takes three phase power, and operations closer to 1,000 lb a day without three phase service can run the smaller RFF1220C instead. The head itself needs a 208-230V single phase circuit at 3.2 amps minimum circuit ampacity, plus a 3/8 in. water inlet and drain plumbing at the head and bin.

Small Hard Flake Ice for Presentation Applications

Flake ice is small hard bits of ice ideally suited for presentation applications, where the ice bed is part of the display itself. The evaporator is designed for maximum ice quality and operating life, producing flake continuously rather than in batch harvests, and the stainless steel exterior keeps a clean, modern look in any self-serve environment.

Rated Output at 70°F and 90°F Rating Points

Manitowoc publishes output at both industry rating points: 2,063 lb per 24 hours at 70°F air and 50°F water, and 1,702 lb in the harsher 90°F air and 70°F water condition, so you can size the system on your actual equipment room. The head holds spec across a 50°F to 110°F ambient range and 37°F to 90°F incoming water, with ice-making water pressure between 14 and 80 psi.

QuietQube Remote System with Condensing Unit Sold Separately

The QuietQube system splits refrigeration away from the ice-making head: the remote condensing unit, interconnecting refrigerant lines, head section, and ice storage unit are all ordered separately, and the design is a Manitowoc system around the RCUF condensing unit, not for use with any other ice machine or remote condenser brand. Moving the condenser indoors or outdoors away from the machine improves efficiency and ice production, lowers the air conditioning load at the machine, and eliminates most refrigeration noise for a quieter room. The lighter head weight also simplifies installation, and the head and condensing unit are powered independently of each other.

Refrigerant Line Runs to 100 Ft with a 35 Ft Rise Limit

The RCUF-2200C condensing unit runs on 208-230V, 60 Hz three phase service, rejects 15,700 BTU per hour on average with a 3 HP nominal compressor, and operates from -20°F to 120°F, so it can sit outdoors through winter and summer. Refrigerant lines can run up to 100 ft, rise up to 35 ft above the head, or drop 15 ft below it; a rise over 20 ft requires the S-Trap Kit K-00172, ordered separately, and the standard RC-21 line set covers 20 ft.

Stainless Steel Head with Adapters for Manitowoc Bins

At 279 lb shipping weight with a 26.90 in. front width, 18.70 in. depth, and 27.56 in. height per the dimension drawing, the head mounts on separately purchased Manitowoc bins: adapter K-00444 fits the D-970, K-603030 the F-1325 or F-1650 shown on the spec sheet, and K-613030 the FC-1350. HACR-type circuit breakers can be used in place of fuses on both circuits.
