This Omcan cabinet base work table gives you a 72 inch stainless steel work surface with an enclosed cabinet underneath for storing kitchen equipment and other products. It is intended for food preparation in a busy commercial kitchen. Sliding doors close off the base, so what you keep under the work top stays behind doors. The top is 18-gauge type 430 stainless steel, and this is the overhang edge version, with the top larger than the cabinet body beneath it. The unit stands 34 inches high on a 30 inch deep footprint, so measure your wall run and aisle clearance against the 72 inch width. The top is rated for 810 pounds and the undershelf inside the cabinet for 460 pounds. It arrives as a knock-down unit that assembles on site with set screws.
Enclosed Cabinet Base with Sliding Doors
The base is an enclosed cabinet closed in by a back panel and left and right side panels, with a stainless steel undershelf inside and two sliding doors across the front. The doors ride on slide rails and have recessed handles. The cabinet body measures 65-1/2 inches wide by 21-3/4 inches deep, and its bottom sits 12 inches off the floor.
18-Gauge Type 430 Stainless Steel Construction
Omcan builds this table in 18-gauge type 430 stainless steel. The top, the legs and the undershelf are all stainless steel, and the table is designed and finished for commercial use, so minor surface marks such as dimples, scratches and scuffs are normal on a product of this kind. The same table is available in type 304 stainless steel as item 24402.
Overhang Edge Flat Top
This is the overhang edge version of the table, so the top is larger than the cabinet body under it. The top extends 3-1/4 inches beyond the cabinet body at each end and 4-1/8 inches at the front and back. The top is flat with no backsplash; the same table is available with a 4 inch backsplash as item 24405 and as a flush edge version as item 43721.
Knock-Down Design Assembled on Site
The table arrives knocked down with four 34 inch stainless steel legs, the top, two sides, a back, the undershelf with its aluminum die cast clamp, two sliding doors and 36 set screws. The back and sides fasten to the top with set screws, the legs and undershelf assembly insert into gussets, and the doors are installed on the slide rails once the table is upright. The set screws should be filled with an approved silicone sealer, which is not included. The legs finish in stainless steel bullet feet. A replacement foot is available as item AC015 and a 5 inch caster as item 14395 (with brake).
