The machine's motor head is convertible to the rear of the unit, and this conversion kit is sold separately from the machine. The kit is made up of a Potis 1 RPM motor head (115 V, 60 Hz, 3.5 W) on a mounting bracket with its drive shaft, cord, rocker switch and plug; a socket block with a T-handle screw and a lever; and a pointed 42 inch skewer. The motor head with its bracket and shaft stands 26 inches tall. The kit is listed for machine 49162 alone; the GD3 and GD4 machines, items 49160 and 49161, take items 49130 and 49145.
