The Omcan 48395 Heat Lamp
The Omcan FW-CN-1000 is a freestanding infrared heat lamp, a 44-inch wide unit with 4 infrared bulbs rated at 250W each (1,000W total). The wider span covers a standard pass window at most restaurants, keeping four to six plates warm simultaneously while the server gathers the rest of the order. Adjustable height lets you raise or lower the lamp assembly to control how much heat reaches the food, which matters when you are switching between holding delicate pastries and keeping thick entrees hot.
Infrared Bulbs with Ventilated Aluminum Reflectors
Each of the 4 bulbs puts out 250W of infrared heat directed downward through ventilated aluminum reflectors. Infrared energy heats the food surface directly rather than warming the surrounding air, so plates stay hot without drying out the way they would under a convection-style warmer. The ventilated reflector design allows heat to dissipate upward so the lamp housing stays cooler and the bulbs last longer. The power switch is located away from the heated area, which means you are not reaching under hot bulbs to turn the unit on and off during service.
6063 Alloy Aluminum Frame
The entire frame is built from 6063 alloy aluminum, which is lightweight enough to reposition easily but strong enough to hold the bulb assembly steady over a pass window or buffet table. Aluminum does not rust, so the unit holds up in humid kitchen environments where a painted steel frame would start flaking within a year.
