The HRS-255 is purpose-built for medical and lab-grade pouch sealing. Paper-plastic, tyvek, and foil packages need higher seal temperatures than standard poly bags (paper coatings activate at 300°F+, tyvek requires fast localized heat to seal the polymer coating without scorching the substrate). The 572°F maximum temperature and fast warm-up are what make this unit work for those materials where a standard 482°F band sealer would either fail to seal or underseal.

30-Second Warm-Up to Operating Temperature

Warm-up time from cold is approximately 30 seconds to 356°F (180°C). That means the operator can power the unit on at the start of a packing run and have it ready before the first batch of pouches arrives at the bench. Most band sealers need 3-5 minutes to reach operating temperature.

Rotary Band Design for Quiet Operation

The rotary band design uses rotating bands rather than a reciprocating press to draw the pouch through the seal head. The result is quiet enough for the unit to live on a manned packing bench in a medical kitting room or food lab without operator complaints about noise. Sealing speed is 393 inches per minute (10 meters per minute) at full speed.

Paper-coated pouches seal in the 300-400°F range; tyvek pouches in the 400-500°F range; foil-laminated pouches at the upper end. The controller holds temperature stable through long runs.

Left-to-Right Feed Direction

The unit feeds left to right. The operator inserts the pouch on the left, the rotating bands draw it through the heated seal head, and the sealed pouch exits on the right.
