The Sealer Sales WNS-200D is a compact tabletop direct-heat sealer with an 8 inch seal length, 10mm meshed seal width, PTFE-coated jaws, and a digital temperature controller. The unit seals a variety of thermoplastic materials that impulse sealers cannot handle including aluminum foil, kraft paper, cellophane, mylar, polypropylene, and poly-nylon up to 20 mil thick.

Seals Materials Impulse Sealers Cannot

Direct-heat (constant-heat) sealing differs from impulse sealing: the jaws are maintained at constant operating temperature rather than heated briefly per cycle. This is what makes the WNS-200D able to seal aluminum foil, kraft paper, cellophane, mylar, polypropylene, and poly-nylon materials that an impulse sealer cannot reliably bond. Polyethylene is the exception; direct heat sealers cannot seal polyethylene because the film melts through.

10mm Meshed Seal Style

The 10mm wide meshed seal gives a strong, peel-resistant bond on thicker materials up to 20 mil. The meshed pattern increases bond strength on materials that would otherwise be prone to channel leaks at the seal line. PTFE-coated jaws prevent the film from sticking as the seal cools, which is the difference between a clean release and a torn-film mess.

Digital Temperature Controller

The digital control panel guarantees consistent and reliable sealing. Temperature is read in Celsius. The unit covers 100 to 300 degree-C (212 to 572 degree-F) range, wide enough for foil and laminated materials on the upper end and lighter films on the lower end. Start with the minimum setting and increase as needed for the material being sealed.

Protector Bars Around Sealing Jaws

Heat-resistant plastic protector bars surround the sealing jaws to keep the operator's hands and forearms clear of the heated surfaces. This is the standard direct-heat sealer safety feature; the constant-heat design means the jaws are always hot, unlike impulse sealers where the jaws cool between cycles.

Compact Tabletop Format

The 8 inch x 10 inch x 9 inch footprint makes the WNS-200D suitable for manufacturing facilities with limited bench space. The 18 lb weight is portable enough to move between work areas if needed. Seals material up to 8 inches wide and 20 mil thick in a single pass.

Easy Operator Workflow

Set the temperature and seal time on the digital panel. Always start with the minimum setting and slowly increase temperature as needed for the material being sealed. Insert the material between the seal bars and lightly bring the seal bars together using the knob. Release; the bond sets in seconds.
