The Standard Range SR-EG48 Electric Countertop Griddle
The Standard Range SR-EG48 is a 48 inch commercial electric countertop griddle with a 47.2 in. by 20.7 in. cooking surface heated by 4 thermostatically controlled elements. It runs on 208 or 240 volt power, drawing 12 kW at 208V, 16 kW at 240V, so it slots into a high volume breakfast house or burger line that needs four feet of flattop in an all-electric building. With no burner tubes, no pilot, and no flue, the whole footprint goes to cooking surface, and the unit sits just 15.5 inches tall on its adjustable legs.
One Inch Thick Steel Griddle Plate
The plate is a full inch of steel, which is where a commercial griddle earns its price over the thin plate in a light duty unit. Thick steel banks heat and releases it evenly, so a batch of cold-from-the-walk-in burger patties sears instead of steaming, and the surface temperature climbs back to setpoint quickly between rounds. Heat spreads across the plate without the stripes a thin sheet develops directly over its elements.
Thermostatic Controls from 150°F to 450°F
An element sits every 12 inches, each with 3 kW of output at 208 volts or 4 kW at 240 volts, and each zone holds its own thermostat setting between 150°F and 450°F. Unlike a manual valve that a cook eyeballs all shift, a thermostat cycles the element to hold the plate where you set it, which keeps pancakes the same shade at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. and speeds recovery after a heavy load. Zone control also lets one end run hot for searing while another holds warm for staging.
Grease Trough and Removable Grease Drawer
A grease trough at standard 4 inch spatula width runs the front edge, so a full scrape pass lands in the trough instead of over the sides, and everything drains to a removable 4 inch grease drawer that empties in seconds between rushes. Back and side splash guards come fully welded, leaving no seams for grease to seep through onto the counter and wall behind the unit.
Fully Welded Stainless Steel Cabinet
The cabinet is all stainless steel with a cool-to-the-touch front edge where knuckles and forearms spend the shift, and adjustable stainless steel legs with non-skid feet keep it level and planted on the counter. The unit must be hardwired by a qualified installer, and a cordset is not included.
